We were kidnapped and taken to London…..my mum drove up and picked up the kids and I, to stay at her house for a few days.
Today we went out for lunch and then to see Godzilla. I thought my son would love it, but it turned out to be one of the first movies he has struggled to sit through. My daughter enjoyed it though.
This evening we have enjoyed a quiet evening of Thai and pizza….an eclectic mix for a broad range of tastes and appetites! It is so relaxing coming to my mum’s…..the pace slows down and suddenly there is time to spare…..a rare occurrence…
The children enjoy their time with granny and grandpa Nic…..there really is no other time quite like that which you spend with your grandparents. There is always something magical in the memories of that special ‘time’. I remember it dearly.
So, for now I am content to just lap up the luxury of being here. To allow my children to make new memories of their time here…..the things they do, the conversations they have, the stories they hear, the foods they eat, the games they play and the places they go.
These are the memories that they will cherish….they will always remember the ‘time’ that they spend with their loved ones.
That is always the one fact that is so very important to remember….
